Sustainability at Formula Swiss means practical steps in energy, cultivation, packaging and production that we can document. This page lists what we do today and what we are working on.
What we do today
- Energy: solar and hydro power supply the electricity for our production, and we use efficient LED lighting for indoor cultivation.
- Cultivation: our hemp is grown in Central Switzerland following organic principles, without pesticides or artificial fertilisers. We add no artificial CO₂ in our grow rooms. Outdoor hemp is mainly used for our CBD oils.
- Packaging: we use recycled paper-based materials where possible and review our packaging to use less material.
- Production: our oils are formulated, bottled and labelled in Küssnacht am Rigi, and every batch is tested in Switzerland.
Certifications
- GMP under ISO 22716: our production has been certified by SBD since January 2020. See GMP and ISO certifications.
- COSMOS ORGANIC: our CBD skincare range is certified to the COSMOS ORGANIC standard. See COSMOS ORGANIC certification.
- Vegan: The Vegan Society certifies our cosmetics. See vegan certification.
What we are working on
Our next steps are a higher share of recycled materials, more renewable energy and less waste in production. Some changes take time because product safety and regulations come first. We only describe what we already do, and we update this page when something changes.
