What concentration tells you

Percentage

The stated CBD concentration, such as 5% or 10%.

Total CBD

The total amount of CBD in the bottle, usually shown in milligrams (mg).

Bottle volume

The amount of oil in the container, such as 10 ml or 30 ml. Different volumes are not a like-for-like comparison.

Compare like with like

When you compare two oils, read the three fields together. A larger bottle can contain more total CBD without being a stronger concentration, while two bottles with the same percentage can contain different totals when their volumes differ.

1. Check that the product format and intended use match what you are looking for.
2. Record the percentage, total CBD in mg and bottle volume from each label.
3. Check the complete ingredient list, cannabinoid profile and product instructions before deciding.

Illustrative comparison: a 5% oil in a 10 ml bottle and a 5% oil in a 30 ml bottle share the same stated percentage, but they are different bottle sizes and should be compared by their labelled total CBD as well.

Concentration is separate from spectrum

Concentration describes how much CBD is in the oil. Full-spectrum and broad-spectrum describe the extract profile. Check both fields, along with the THC specification and the full ingredient list.
