A more recent study published in 2014 in the Journal of Life Sciences that experimented whether or not THC killed or increased induced melanoma cells in mice. For this purpose, the researchers applied some tetrahydrocannabinol THC to the mice. THC is the main psychoactive element in cannabis. Then they compared these mice with normal mice. To their surprise, the size of skin cancerous cells was significantly reduced. So the researchers concluded that exogenous cannabinoids can be used for healing melanoma. By exogenous cannabinoids, it is meant that external cannabinoids like CBD or THC. CBD and THC were really helpful in treating skin cancer in mice. However, this research was a small experiment and it is still argued that this can be applied to humans or not.
