Depression affects the way you feel about yourself but it also affects your relationship with the ones you love. The real problem is that many people don`t realize that they have depression, they think that is just a bad mood and it will pass. In fact, depression affects your physical and mental health.
Depression usually comes from a mix of recent events and other longer-term or individual variables, as opposed to one prompt issue or occasion. The main reasons for depression can come from life events, personal factors or changes in the brain. There are many ways for treating a depression. Prior to a conclusion or treatment, a health expert should direct an intensive symptomatic assessment, including a meeting and perhaps a physical examination. In general, depression can be treated with psychotherapy, medication and even electroconvulsive therapy for patients with severe major depression. Also, some recent studies are supporting CBD as a possible solution to depression.
CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of approximately 60 active compounds found in cannabis. But unlike THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), which is another active ingredient of cannabis and is a psychoactive substance, CBD in not psychoactive at all.
In a study from 2011 Haj-Dahmane and Shen RY found “an ample evidence that endocannabinoids are important regulators of stress responses.”(2) Much more than this, in 2014, Mello Schier, Oliveira Ribeiro and their colleges from Institute of Psychiatry – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. noticed that, “Cannabidiol (CBD) is a constituent non-psychotomimetic of Cannabis sativa with great psychiatric potential, including uses as an antidepressant-like and anxiolytic-like compound.”(3)
CBD can be used for depression and you shouldn’t worry about the side effects because is not a psychoactive substance so there are no chances for getting the “high effect”.
